Training To Endure
Key Scripture:
Hebrews 12:11 “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”
Devotional:
Training isn’t glamorous. It’s repetitive. It’s stretching. It’s sometimes painful. But it produces something lasting.
When God brings things up in your life, it’s not to disqualify you, it’s to train you. The race will surface what needs healing. The plow will uncover what needs surrender. And apotithemi reminds you: you have a role in letting it go.
Revival that lasts is built by people who endure.
Not people who feel everything.
Not people who never struggle.
But people who stay.
Reflect:
1. Where is God training me right now?
2. Am I resisting the process or trusting it?
3. What would it look like for me to endure this season faithfully?
Prayer:
Lord, train me. Even when it’s uncomfortable. Even when it exposes things I didn’t want to face. Produce endurance in me. I want to be someone who stays the course.
Action Step:
Commit to one spiritual rhythm this week (daily prayer, Scripture reading, worship, fasting) and stick to it intentionally.
