Changed To Be A Witness
Scripture:
Acts 1:8
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses... to the end of the earth."
Devotional:
The Holy Spirit doesn’t just change us for our own benefit—He changes us so we can point others to Jesus. Transformation isn’t just about inner peace or better habits; it’s about becoming a living witness of what God can do with a surrendered life.
When people see the “before and after” of your story, they see more than just growth—they see God. Every breakthrough, every moment of healing, every time you chose forgiveness or faith over fear... it all speaks. And you don’t have to be perfect to be a witness. You just have to be willing. The Holy Spirit will give you the words, the boldness, and the opportunities—your job is to say yes.
Reflective Questions:
1. In what ways has the Holy Spirit already changed me that I might be overlooking?
2. Who in my life needs to see or hear how Jesus has changed me?
3. Have I been hesitant to share my story, and if so, why?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, thank You for changing me and continuing to work in me. Help me not to hide what You’ve done in my life. Make me bold to speak when the moment comes. Let my story be a reflection of Your power and grace, and use it to draw others to You.
Action Step:
Write down your 3-minute testimony: what your life looked like before, what changed when you encountered Jesus, and how you live differently now. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you one person you can encourage with it this week.
