Listening For God’s Voice

Jan 2, 2026

Scripture:

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27

Devotional:

The goal isn’t just to block out lies—it’s to tune in to God’s voice. Pastor Earl emphasized communication: learning to listen. God’s voice is steady, loving, and consistent with His Word. The enemy rushes us; God leads us.

When we wear the helmet of salvation, we’re reminded that we belong to God—and His voice is familiar. The more time we spend with Him, the easier it becomes to recognize when something doesn’t sound like Him. Protection comes from proximity.

Reflection Questions:

1. What helps me hear God’s voice most clearly?

2. What distractions make it harder for me to listen?

3. How can I create more space to hear from God daily?

Prayer:

Lord, I want to hear Your voice clearly. Quiet the noise around me and within me. Help me trust what You say over every other voice. I choose to follow You. Amen.

Action Step:

Spend 5 quiet minutes today with no distractions. Ask God one simple question—and listen.
