Veiled or Unveiled?

Aug 6, 2025

Scripture:

2 Corinthians 3:13,16

“We are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face... But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.”

Devotional:

Moses wore a veil so the Israelites wouldn’t see the fading of the old glory. They couldn’t handle the light — and honestly, neither can we when we’re still living under the law. Legalism veils us — it keeps us from seeing God or ourselves clearly. But when we turn to Jesus, the veil lifts. Suddenly, we can see Him, and in seeing Him, we become more like Him.

Are you still veiled — living under the pressure of performance and hiding behind spiritual checklists? Or have you turned fully toward the Lord and allowed Him to shine on your whole life? The new glory doesn’t need to be hidden. It grows brighter with every step of surrender.

Reflection Questions:

1. What spiritual “veils” am I still hiding behind?

2. Am I afraid of people seeing the real me — or even God seeing the real me?

3. What does it mean for me to live unveiled before God?

Prayer:

Jesus, I don’t want to live hidden — not from You, not from others, and not from myself. Thank You that You remove the veil. Help me to live in the light of Your glory, not in the shadow of the law. Let me reflect You freely.

Action Step:

Spend a few minutes in prayer with nothing hidden — no filter, no fluff. Just be real with God and invite Him into every part.
